Weekly Events

Preschool Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am
Fun stories, songs, a craft, and other early literacy activities for preschoolers.
No individual groups larger than five without prior arrangement. Held in the Children’s Story Corner. For ages 3-6.

Lapsit Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am
Simple stories, fingerplays, songs, a craft and other age-appropriate activities for infants and toddlers. An adult must accompany the Lapsit child. No individual groups larger than five without prior arrangement. Held in the Children’s Window Corner. For children from birth to age 3.

Saturday Sing-a-Long! ● Saturday, May 16, 1pm ● All ages welcome
Family music time with Pattiebuff Bear.

Evening Jammie Storytime ● Tuesday, May 19, 7pm ● All ages welcome
Come in your pajamas for a special evening story time.

Family Story Time in Spanish ● Tuesday, June 2, at 5:30 pm ● All ages welcome The whole family is invited to join Erica for a fun Spanish language story time.

Saturday Songs and Stories with Pattiebuff ● Saturday, June 6, 1 pm ● All ages welcome
Come for stories, songs and a craft on the theme, “Won’t You Be My Friend?” as the kick-off for the Friends of the Springfield Library’s Spring Fling.

Spring Fling ● Saturday, June 6, 1-4 ● All ages welcome
Friends of the Springfield Library and community partners will provide crafts, games and treats for the whole family.

Be Creative @ Your Library! Join the Summer Reading Club and choose a free new book!
Complete your summer reading goal and earn a pass to Splash! Wave Pool. Complete the Super Duper Reading Challenge and earn a free pass to Camp Putt Adventure Park. For preschool children through 6 th grade, pick up your ‘Reading Record’ at the library after June 14. Readers in middle and high school can participate in drawings for great prizes for every book read and every program attended.

Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration with Tom Question, Tuesday, June 16, 11:00 am
Come be amazed by juggler, stilt-walker and comedian Tom Question, who will entertain with thrilling feats and tricks. Summer Reading sign-up, book give away and ice cream available. On the Fountain Plaza and for all ages. Sponsored by Comcast.

Celeste Rose Puppet Show ● Tuesday, June 30, 2 pm ● All ages welcome
“Little Red Riding Hood and Hunker Jaw the Wolf” is a thrilling adaptation of a familiar story.

All programs are free and will be held in the Library Meeting Room unless otherwise noted.
